A term you do not assess is a term you do not pay for. Marking is seasonal, and the bill should be too. Every plan starts as a free account: nothing to cancel, no card to enter.

Billing is not switched on yet. Cathedra is in beta and everything below is free today, including the paid tiers. These are the prices we intend to charge when billing opens, published now so nobody is surprised later. The paid tiers describe what those plans are meant to include, not what is built — the free tier is the product as it stands.

Billing questions, before you ask

Why per script and not per student?

Because a script is the thing that costs us money to mark, and per-student pricing punishes the teacher who assesses most often. A class of forty you assess twice a year should cost less than a class of twenty you assess weekly.

What counts as one script?

One student's answers to one assignment, however many pages that runs to. A ten-page script and a one-page script both count once.

What happens if a script fails to mark?

It does not count. Only a script that completes and reaches your review queue is counted against your allowance.

Do unused scripts roll over?

No. The allowance resets each month. Marking is seasonal, so if your term shape does not fit a monthly plan, a pooled Department balance usually does.

How do I pay from Bangladesh or India?

Card is not the only route we intend to support. Prepaid credit is how most centres actually budget around exam cycles, and local payment rails are on the roadmap before we ask anyone in the region to pay.

Can I export everything if I leave?

Yes. Grades, feedback and your rubrics export as CSV, and you can delete a class and everything in it at any time.

The free account is not a trial that expires. It is the same product with a smaller monthly allowance. Start free
